GENERAL POLICIES
Commonwealth Arms is a federally licensed firearms dealer. All state and federal laws apply to any
firearms transfer. All firearms purchasers must provide two forms of identification, complete the federal form 4473,
the state form SP-65, and pass a instant criminal background check before purchasing a firearm. If you are prohibited
by law from owning a firearm please do not waste your time or ours. All in state sales are subject to 5% Virginia sales
tax.
METHODS OF PAYMENT
Commonwealth Arms accepts Visa, Mastercard, and Discover credit cards, cashiers checks, money orders, and
of course cash. We accept personal checks in shop from Virginia and West Virginia residents only. For mail order
we will accept personal checks from all states, but we will hold them a minimum of 10 days to ensure that they clear before
shipping
SPECIAL ORDERS
Commonwealth Arms will gladly special order any firearm for you. In order to special order a
firearm a nonrefundable deposit of 20% of the selling price is required with the balance due upon arrival of the gun.
All special order guns should be picked up within seven (7) days of their delivery to the shop. Any special order gun
not picked up within seven (7) days will be placed into inventory for sale with no refund to the ordering individual.
Commonwealth Arms does not permit layaways on special order fireamrs. Special orders on small items must be grouped
onto regularly scheduled accesory orders. We typically send out at least one accesory order per week, more often in
peak times. Due to rising shipping costs and our desire to maintain low prices we will not send any NON FIREARMS order
of less than $750.00.
INTERSTATE SHIPPING
Commonwealth Arms will gladly ship a firearm to any licensed dealer in the lower 48 states except
for California due to the states idiotic dealer databasing law. We charge a flat rate of $25.00 for rifles east of the
Mississippi and $35.00 for rifles west of the Mississippi. Handguns are shipped to any state for $18.00. We must
have a copy of the dealers FFL in order to ship. We accept mailed, faxed, and E-Mailed copies. For shipping to
Alaska and Hawai please call for quote. We offer a three day return policy on all shipped firearms less the cost of shipping
both ways
LAYAWAYS
OUR LAYAWAY POLICY HAS CHANGED - PLEASE READ. No layaways on firearms costing less than $350.00.
All layaways must be paid off in full within 90 days. No exceptions. No layawyas on any assault type rifles, Kel
Tecs, Ruger LCP's and LCR's Springfield Armory 1911"s or any gun currently listed on Auction Arms.
CONSIGNMENT SALES AMD TRANSFERS
Commonwealth Arms offers consignment sales as a service to our custoemrs. We charge a flat rate of
10% of the selling price for this service. Any firearm to be sold on consignment in our shop must be priced in a manner
acceptable to Commonwealth Arms. Overpriced guns do not sell and can hurt our business, often steering customers away
from our reasonably priced shop guns. Commonwealth Arms gladly transfers firearms purchased on Gun Broker, Auction Arms,
and Guns America. We charge a flat rate of $30.00 on used guns and 10% of our cost on new guns. You can
also perform unlimited transfers for a year for a flat fee of $150.00. The customer is respnsable for all payment and
communication with the seller on a transfer. Any returns that may occur are also the responsability of the customer.
WARRANTIES AND RETURNS
All new firearms are warrantied by the manufacturer. Commonwealth Arms is not a warranty repair station
and we offer no warranty of any kind written or expressed. If a new firearm is in need of warranty service we will be
happy to advise you on where to return it for warranty service. Commonwealth Arms will ship your gun back for you for
a flat service charge of $35.00. All used guns are inspected by Commonweatlh Arms to the best of our ability to determine
that they function propertly, however, all used firearms are sold as is.
